For over thirty years, Dr. Diana Jerkins has worked in the area of sustainable agriculture –
teaching, conducting research, and managing research funding at several universities and
with the federal government. In this video she recommends that during and after the
pandemic, people take an interest in farming and gardening to get healthy food for
themselves and even form communities of local farmers and consumers. She also wrote in
collaboration with Shumei “Spirit of the Land”, Shumei Natural Agriculture Philosophy and
Practice.
